Falmouth Week 11th to 18th August 2007

The West Country sailing event of the year Falmouth week is a week of great racing coupled with shore side evening fun. We intend to be on the spot for the entire week, partaking whenever possible. The venue is the best in the west being the Carrick Rhodes and Fal Estuary providing a spectacular scenic backdrop to some superb sailing. With a river exploration to Truro and a day on the Helford Estuary (site of Daphne Du Mourier’s Frenchman’s Creek among others), it will be a super week.

LUNDY WEEK A St Ives Bay Sailing special - 1st to 7th June 2007

A week sailing the unsurpassable north coast of Cornwall, renowned for its beauty and rugged majesty. This is both a sailing and wildlife experience combining the adventure of sailing the stunning and relatively deserted north coast with the expectation of superb maritime and coastal wildlife.

Departing from St Ives we sail northeast following the dramatic coastline to the picturesque harbour town of Padstow set within the estuary of the river Camel. We overnight in the tiny wet harbour after a dinner pre-booked at Rick Steins’ renowned seafood bistro.

Day two continues our passage across Bude Bay rounding Hartland point to enter Bideford Bay. We then decide weather to head directly for Lundy, or enter the Torridge Estuary to spend the night alongside at the historic trading town of Bideford. Day three sees us at anchor off Lundy Island ready to explore this wildlife rich haven, home to the only marine nature reserve in the UK. Our return to St Ives may be as leisurely as the remaining three days allow, calling at the many points and places of interest on route.

Four berths currently available. To book contact St Ives Bay Sailing either by phone or email +44 (0) 07971775228 Email: info@stivesbaysailing.co.uk

Sunset sails

Take loved ones or friends to see an unobstructed view of the sun setting. Relax on our teak deck with a glass of something bubbly that we provide to help you get in to the mood. Leaving two hours before the sun is due to set we will head due North out of St Ives bay and take in some of our stunning coast line. As the sun sets and the night draws in we will head back towards the rising moon and the shelter of St Ives harbour. If you would like we will book you a table at one of our local restaurants for before or when you return from cruse.

Padstow

This is a two day passage up the coast to Padstow harbour returning to St Ives. Padstow harbour is at the hart of this small fishing town, the water front is a hive of small restaurants. Home to Rick Steins famous fish and chip shop, Fish mongers and restaurants all within two minutes of where we dock. This historic fishing town is well worth a visit and is often compared to St Ives of old. We will leave on the tide in the morning and make our way back down the coast to St Ives.
